Germany: Alex Warren with “Ordinary” ultimately takes the top spot
At the top of Germany’s year-end ranking is a song that never once reached number one during the past 52 chart weeks. But sometimes consistency is more valuable than short-lived peak positions. "Ordinary" by Alex Warren (Warner) entered the airplay charts for the first time in chart week 7/2025 and went on to develop into one of the most-played songs on German radio over the course of the year. A total of 29 weeks in the Top 10, along with a still ongoing presence in the Top 20, resulted in the highest overall chart points of the year.
Second place goes to "APT." by Rosé & Bruno Mars (Warner). Compared to "Ordinary", the track earned around 9% fewer chart points, but in return achieved over 8% more chart spins, making it the most-played radio hit of 2025. In third place is "Be Mine" by Kamrad (Warner), which also makes it the most successful song by a German artist. The highest-ranked German female artist in the year-end evaluation is Leony, who reaches number 10 with "By Your Side (In My Mind)" (Kontor New Media).
Ed Sheeran lands in fourth place with "Azizam" (Warner). In 2025, the song set several records, including the highest chart entry, the fastest rise to number one, and the longest stay at the top with eleven weeks. However, these achievements did not translate into a Top 3 year-end position.
In the Konservativ Pop Charts, Helene Fischer & Florian Silbereisen clearly prevailed with their duet "Schau mal herein" (Universal), finishing well ahead of two tracks by Andrea Berg. This German-language version of “Stumblin’ In,” which topped the year-end ranking last year in Cyril’s version, was originally planned only for a TV appearance. Shortly afterward, however, the song went viral on social media and established itself on radio over many weeks, including nine weeks at number one.

Austria: Alex Warren prevails here too with "Ordinary"
In Austria as well, Alex Warren tops the 2025 airplay year-end charts with "Ordinary" (Warner) and also achieved the highest number of chart spins there. The track showed a particularly strong presence at the very top of the charts in Austria, occupying the number-one position for a total of 15 weeks, albeit with interruptions.
Second place goes to Lola Young with "Messy" (Universal). The song, which was released the previous year, never reached the top spot during the evaluated chart weeks, but remained continuously in the Top 20 from February onward - many of those weeks even in the Top 10. Third place is taken by "APT." by Rosé & Bruno Mars (Warner). This track was also released in 2024 and successfully used the time before 2025 to build momentum. As a result, it started the chart year strongly at number 19 and achieved excellent airplay results in the Austrian radio market, especially in the first third of the year.
In the Schlager Parade, which represents the segment of schlager music and national artists, the pop trio Folkshilfe secures first place in the year-end ranking with "Weit weg" (TöchterSöhne Records). The song transports its fans into a world of relaxation and calm, which was very well received by radio stations and listeners alike in light of the many global challenges.

Switzerland: Nice To Meet... Myles Smith
Alex Warren was not able to claim the chart crown everywhere. In Switzerland, for example, the picture at the top looks somewhat different in 2025. Here, Myles Smith takes first place in the airplay year-end charts with "Nice To Meet You" (Sony Music). The song, which was released in 2024, entered the Top 25 right at the start of 2025 and soon after reached the top position. To this day, "Nice To Meet You" remains a constant companion on radio.
Second place, however, is occupied by Alex Warren with "Ordinary" (Warner), making him one of the most successful airplay acts of the year in Switzerland as well. Third place goes to Gracie Abrams with "That’s So True" (Universal). The track was particularly strong in the first half of the year and spent a total of eight weeks at number one, often alternating directly with "Nice To Meet You."

During the evaluation period, the song led the airplay charts in 18 countries and achieved its best placements within the Top 10 in all other evaluated markets.
Second place goes to Lola Young with "Messy," while "APT." by Rosé & Bruno Mars rounds out the Top 3. All three of these songs were defining forces on radio programming across Europe in 2025.
